Antique Furniture Restoration & Repair in Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire & Kent
We understand that our customers don't always want their piece of furniture restored back to look like new, more often than not they simply require a sympathetic restoration retaining the wonderful patina that has built up over years of use.
We are experienced furniture restorers and cabinet makers and can undertake anything from a simple re-jointing of a drawer to a replacement of a missing table leg.
What do we restore?
- Chests of drawers
- ...and much, much more.
See our Restoration Gallery for examples of recent work we have undertaken.
Antique furniture repairWe undertake a wide range of antique furniture repairs and all of our work is fully guaranteed. Types of repairs include:
- Damage to wood and parts such as drawer runners
- Removing ink stains, rings & water marks
- Matching veneers and colours
- Reviving colour and finish whilst retaining patination
French polishingWe combine traditional hand skills with the latest polishes and lacquers, ensuring that your furniture will be left with a smooth finish and revitalised appearance, given lasting protection to your antique woodwork.
VeneeringVeneer is only a thin layer of wood attached with glue to solid wood and is very vulnerable to damage. Also, on antique furniture the glue is often not water-resistant meaning that prolonged humidity or exposure to water can soften the glue, letting the veneer blister, crack, or peel.
We can repair such damage utilising the skills we have learned and achieve the finish your furniture deserves.
